I had a problem with my Framework laptop.  After a spill on the charge port it would periodically stop charging.  I spent lots of time and money shipping it to Texas to have Rossmann Repair Group fix it.  They could not fix it and refused to keep trying and sent it back to me.  I thought they were the best so if they could not help I was SOL.  One day I was walking past iFixit on 77th street and thought: "What do I have to lose".  There was a very nice gentleman there that listened to my story.  He told me they could fix it.  He was very confident despite not being the technician.  He told me they would not charge to look at and diagnose it.  I handed over the laptop.  A few days later they called back asking for credentials to the machine so that they could confirm the repair.  I was excited and skeptical.  I went in to pick up the machine and pay for it.  It was only 95 dollars (I was ready to spend way more).  I looked at the notes from the technician and all they had to do to fix the problem was an ultrasonic cleaning of the motherboard.  I was scared that this could not be all that was needed.  No way the legendary Rossmann would miss such an easy fix.  Well lesson learned.  Never meet your heroes.  I can gladly confirm my machine is still running perfect weeks later since my repair.  I am writing this review on said laptop.  I cannot recommend this shop highly enough.  PLEASE do not make the mistake I made (especially if you are already physically in NYC) just go right to iFixit and get a good quick repair.  THANK YOU iFIXIT  you are my new go to place and I will recommend you to anyone that will listen!  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
